Unit 1 Reflection

The most challenging parts of this assignment were finding references, and making the paper flow easily. I could have taken a bit more time finding my references to give me better examples and information about my topic. I think that having the peer edits were very helpful and allowed you to see other peoples perspectives. I also think having a conference with you was very helpful because it allowed me to ask you questions about my paper specifically. The least useful source that we were able to use was analyzing the sample papers. I think we should use something more hands on like editing them.

Reflection (Assignment #2 - Rough Draft)

I think personally I need to add more statistics in my results section. My peer reviews suggested a bit less of statistics because there were a lot of numbers and it was already shown in their graphs. I also think my flow could be a bit better overall. I also need to go back and fix my in-text citations as I forgot to go back and fix them. In addition, I need to explain the quotes that I found instead of just placing them in my paragraphs. I also need a good end to my paragraphs to sum it up. My paper could have been a bit more formal. I need to add more information especially in the diet section and the discussion. I didn't have an appendix section so I ned to add that. I need to go back and fix my paper to make it all APA format because I believe I messed up my reference page. Topic Proposal

I chose field hockey and some of the primary factors in your life that can impact your play for my topic proposal. This is important because many collegiate field hockey players have a lot of stress, sleep variations, and specific diets they go by. I always wanted to do a research study on other field hockey players and how these factors affect them. My first research question is, how does stress from school play a factor on how you play? Second, how does sleep impact how you play? Lastly, how does your diet impact how you play? I will be providing a survey with detailed questions to find out the affects of your average day having an impact on your play.
