This is an academic source. It is written with many medical terms and it is in APA format. It has different sections separating different subjects of the topic. This source is very recent it was published earlier this year. The source is also creditable because it was written by a health professional / doctor on a reliable website. I will use this source to help better my understanding of medical terminology. 

2. Zayadeen, A. R., Abu-Yousef, M. & Berbaum, K. (2016). JOURNAL CLUB: Retrospective Evaluation of Ultrasound Features of Thyroid Nodules to Assess Malignancy Risk: A Step Toward TIRADS. AJR. American journal of roentgenology, 207(3), 460-9. PMID: 27352123. 

This is an academic source. This doctor published many small articles / small publications on ultrasound techniques. The language used in these pieces were very formal. It used medical terminology. The structure had different sections including an abstract, conclusion, etc. This source will help me further my knowledge in this field. 

3. Amarneh, M., Abu-Yousef, M. M. (2016). Diffuse Sclerosing Variant of Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma Presenting with Brain Metastases. JSM Clinical and Medical Imaging: Cases and Reviews, 1(1), 1005. 

This is an academic source. This source was edited in the past few years. That makes it recent in the medical field. Once again it is a great source because doctors / health professionals are the authors of this piece. Language and structure in medical pieces often have a lot of medical terminology and a proper APA format with an abstract, other subjects, and a conclusion. The structure and language will help me learn how to set up formal writing pieces like this.

Analysis of Sample Proposals

Ranking (1) "Course Requirement: Extortion" Strengths: This one gives many examples and statistics about textbooks and how they are expensive. It also gives past, present and future references in it (how expensive they were, how much they cost now, in the future...). Weaknesses: They didn't prove their findings. There isn't a good flow to this argument. Ranking (2) "A Proposal to Allow Off-Campus Purchases" Strengths: It had good organization because they used sub-headings. The flow was good. In addition, they stayed on topic. Weaknesses: It should broaden their audience to attract more people. There weren't to many examples in this and I think more specific examples should be provided. Ranking (3) "Why the United States Should Adopt Nuclear Power" Strengths: The organization was good but it didn't flow. Very in depth on the topic.
